Jon has been a brewer and brewery science consultant at Phat Fish Brewing from its beginning in April of 2019. He is a native of Wisconsin, but has made North Dakota his home since 1984. Jon has been brewing beer, making wine, cider, and mead, growing and using hops, and making malt at home since 1992. He is the author of dozens of articles for Brew Your Own magazine, and has been a certified beer judge since 2011. Jon has particular expertise in chemistry, microbiology and beer recipe formulation. He is also our webmaster and is good at building and fixing things in the brewery.
